Greater Action is a dynamic, non-profit social organization based out of Bandar Baru Ampang and is 100% volunteer-driven.
Our mission is to help refugees rebuild their lives in Malaysia. We support marginalised refugee families, mainly from Afghanistan, forced to flee their homeland, by providing them with quality education, sustainable livelihood opportunities, and much-needed general and mental healthcare.
Our prime focus is women's empowerment via our skills training programs in cooking, baking, tailoring and beauty which enable the most vulnerable women to learn, to grow, and to become financially independent.
Our social Impact since March 2020
1500 refugees
are supported with either education, skills training, donation, or therapies.
200 women
learned English and Malay with our team of 15 skilled teachers.
2200 hours of skill training
have been conducted for refugee women. Know more
13 self-taught artists
participated in our yearly art exhibition.
1750 families
received nutritious food provision.
145 children
gained access to quality education with our partner refugee learning centers.
60 women
received mental health support from professional therapists to overcome their trauma.

received milk formula, reusable diapers, and baby material.

Nurturing Talents
Opened in January 2022, in the heart of Bandar Baru Ampang, Greater Action Center is a safe and nurturing place for refugee women to learn a new skill or enhance an existing one, and earn a decent living. They put all their heart and talents into tailoring, cooking, baking or beauty training programs in which they thrive and feel empowered.
The center is their second home and helps them to regain their sense of belonging and dignity. At Greater Action, we strive to rebuild the lives and the welfare of 250 vulnerable refugee families. Find us here.

Our migration workshops are a real eye opener! students of primary & secondary will understand who refugees are, and how they can support them to rebuild their lives here. Engaging upcycling activities and personal journeys fostering compassion and culture inclusiveness in young minds are also part of this workshop.
Immersive experiences
Not a company or school? We offer curated immersive experiences in groups of 5 to 25 people, including cooking, baking, crotcheting, upcycling, art workshops & Afghan lunch, French high tea and more to anyone who's interested in impactful activities.
